Please do not feed the animals

Mommy and daddy have started putting me in the pack 'n play lately, I'm not really a big fan of it. I feel like a caged animal and thus I like to put on a show for them, hehe. I push my face up against the side of the mesh as far as I can. It squeeshes like this...

Roar! I'm a lion and I'm going to come get you!

Ok mommy can I please get out of my cage now, I promise to be good, pretty please?

Surgery!

Today was a very scary day - I had surgery! Mommy and daddy said that I was going to have surgery to put tubes in my ears, and that afterwards my ears wouldn't hurt so much. All I know is that it was not fun at all! Mommy and daddy said I couldn't eat anything after my dinner at 5pm, I'd like to talk to the folks who made this stupid rule up. I was not a very happy camper, I usually get quite a few nursings at night. My tummy was so hungry and kept growling and waking me up all night long. Grrrrr

Thank goodness my surgery was really early in the morning. Mommy and daddy had to get up super early at like 5 am in order for us to get to the surgery center by 6:30 am. We were the first ones there. Pretty soon a little boy came in, he was playing on the floor with some blocks. He looked like he was having so much fun that I wanted to join, and I crawled right over and knocked his blocks over, he didn't think it was so much fun.

The nurse called us back to this room and made me change clothes. It was freezing in there and they wanted me to wear this drafty dress thing! I was not happy :(

Right after we got changed the nurse came and took me away from my mommy and daddy, I was a big boy though and didn't cry. I don't remember anything after that - I guess its a good thing. Mommy and daddy said that they barely had time to make it to the waiting room after they took me back before they called them back to come get me. It was all done in less than 10 minutes. When I got back the nurses had a stuffed puppy dog for me - I think he looks like Pongo! They said I was a great little boy.

I was mostly happy because they said that I could eat! Finally, it had been forever since my last meal.

I guess the surgery was a success 'cause I feel just fine, not at all like I had surgery today. Hopefully this will get rid of all those stupid ear infections!
