Look grandma - there's a bird! I'm such a big boy now that I can say bird and point. Grandma doesn't know what she started. I want to go outside and look for birds all the time now. I learned that there's a bird on the fridge and a bird on one of grandma's shelves. I like to point them all out.
While we were outside looking for birds we went on a little walk and guess what I found? I found a big slimy worm! It was so cool.
I just had to get a closer look and pick it up. It was slimy and felt funny on my hand. It wiggled and squirmed every time I touched it.
I tried to see what it tasted like but mommy wouldn't let me. Hadn't she ever heard of the book "How to eat worms"?
After our walk I was hungry and grandma made some yummy guacamole - I loved it. I had it all over my face and arms and legs. Mommy was laughing so hard she didn't get a picture. I was so messy that I had to get washed off in the sink. I think I like this though - it's fun 'cause I get to run my hands through the faucet. I think I'll get messy like this every time.
After lunch we went out back to swing and play with grandma's puppy Taylor. While we were out there grandma had the great idea to turn the sprinkler on. Oh boy she's a fun genius!
But being the mischevious little boy I am I was interested in finding what else was going on in the yard. Grandma said I'm already in my "terrible twos", whatever those are and I'm not even one yet. I can't help it if I like to figure things out and how they work. The world is an interesting place and there are lots of things for me to learn.
Before I knew it it was bedtime and I went to sleep 'cause I was tired after my exciting day. But mommy woke me up and said it was time for the fireworks. I didn't know what was going on so I went back to sleep while we drove.
But when we got to the park I had to wake up, there were so many people! And this little girl had these glowing things, I was very intrigued. She was nice and gave me one to play with. I thought it was so neat! Thank goodness mommy brought a snack though 'cause I got hungry.

Then the show started, I couldn't believe my eyes! They were the prettiest things I'd ever seen, and very interesting. How come they blow up in the sky, and how do they get up there? They're just amazing.
After the fireworks show was over we went home, but I wasn't sure it was all over with. I kept searching the sky for more. I hope I get to see some more. I sure wish daddy had seen them, they were so cool I know he would have loved them! But mommy says she's sure daddy saw some too, I hope so.
