Buddies

Papaw come over to visit this past weekend since he was in town. I don't get to see him as much since he lives down in Houston. I was a little shy since I didn't really remember him from the last time he was here but after a few hours I figured out that he was lots of fun too.

Busy Bee

Today we met up with grandpa and grandma, mommy said we were going to have a very busy day but I had no idea it would be this busy! We met them at the mall so that mommy and grandma could watch a cooking class at Williams - Sonoma. Mommy loves this store and we go in it every time we go to the mall. The class was "Grilling Summer Favorites"

The lady showed how to grill veggies like asparagus and eggplant, then she made a coleslaw that had shrimp in it! She even made a cherry cheesecake. But can you believe it, nobody let me have a bite of anything, I was not happy about that. After that we left and went to the Dallas Parade of Homes in McKinney. Ok guys I'm all ready to see some fancy homes.

I got a hungry on the way so mommy gave me some puffs, but she was playing with them too.

After my snack I needed a drink - gimmie that water bottle.

We weren't allowed to take the camera or stroller in, and mommy had her hands full enough with just carrying me around so she didn't try to sneak any pics with her phone. We went through 8 homes and boy were they huge, I'd get lost in them if we lived in them. I think they'd be awesome for playing hide-and-seek! Mommy said she really like alot of the homes and wishes she could decorate our house like that.

Mommy I think you're doing a great job decorating on a budget. I love my room! Boy all that walking around was very tiring and I was happy to get back in the truck so I could take a nap on the way home.

Yesterday at daycare we got to play with finger paints, I had so much fun. Although I wasn't sure what to do at first. I thought maybe we were supposed to eat the stuff. But once Ms. Patty & Ms. Jill showed me what to do, I was a natural. I mean just look at one of my masterpieces....

Mommy and daddy were so proud of me and they just ooooed and ahhhhed over my work so what else am I to think, I'm an artist! I'll be accepting requests starting next Monday, please contact my agent (aka mommy) to reserve my next works.

Lunch lady oh lunch lady

In honor of my new lunch menu I had to watch one of mommy's favorite comedians - Adam Sandler and his tribute to the Lunch Lady. I'm really a big boy now and I get to eat the daycare's prepared meals. I can feed myself raviolis, cheeseburgers, green beans, pears and everything that big boys eat! Hard workin' man

Mommy said she was getting tired of being the only one who ever did any chores around the house and since I'm almost a year old she told me it was time to start earning my keep. She said I could start out with dusting. Hi mommy! Look I'm going to help.

(please ignore the kilt action I've got going on, daddy is always too lazy to button my shorts back after diaper changes, I think he thinks its funny for me to look like I'm wearing a dress, we'll see how how funny it is when I make him wear a dress!)

Anyways on to the Saturday chores. Ok now exactly how does this thing work?

Oh ok I see I just wave it around on things and it picks the dust up. Hey this might end up being fun after all. I don't see why mommy complains so much, I like dusting. I'm going to be the official duster from now on!

Since I did such a great job dusting on Saturday, mommy said she'd let me help with the laundry on Sunday. Ok mommy I've 2 shirts for you, now where do they go?

I'm supposed to fold these ginormous things? Now how do you suppose I go about this, I don't think this is going to work.

I wasn't too skilled at the whole folding laundry thing, I think I'll stick to dusting. Mommy agrees, but at least I tried!
